Our Favourite Summer Gin Cocktails

Summer gin cocktails are the perfect way to relax and beat the heat during the warmer months. Bursting with refreshing flavours and a hint of botanical notes, these cocktails elevate the classic spirit of gin to new heights. From the classic Gin and Tonic to more creative concoctions like the Salty Dog or the Passionfruit Martini, there is a wide range of options to suit every taste. The vibrant colours and fresh ingredients add a touch of elegance to any summer gathering, making these cocktails a go-to choice for parties or casual evenings spent outdoors.


We've collated 7 of our favourite gin based cocktails for you to make and enjoy the delightful flavours of summer in a glass!



 

Gin & Jam


Ingredients


  • 45mls of Gin

  • 15ml elderflower liqueur

  • 1 tbsp jam

  • 15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • soda water


Combine gin, elderflower liqueur, jam and lemon juice in a shaker with ice.


Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds


Strain into glass and top with a splash of soda water


Garnish with fresh berry to match jam





 

Southside


Ingredients

  • 60mls Gin

  • 30 mls simple syrup (1:1 ration sugar & water heated until dissolved and cooled)

  • Half a lemon sliced

  • 5 mint leaves

In a mixing glass, muddle lemon slices and mint.


Add ice, gin and simple syrup


Shake well and strain into glass


Garnish with mint leaves


 

Salty Dog Gin Cocktail



Ingredients

  • 60mls Gin

  • 120mls Grapefruit Juice

  • Salt for the rim


Rub juice around the rim of the glass and dip in salt to create the Salt rim


Add ice to your glass


Layer your drink with gin first, then add the grapefruit juice.


Stir and garnish with a small sprig of rosemary








 

Elderflower & Gin Cocktail


Ingredients

  • 45ml Gin

  • 20ml Lemon Juice

  • 15ml Elderflower Liqueur


Combine all ingredients in a shaker with plenty of ice


Shake well and strain into your glass with fresh ice


Garnish with lemon




 

Minty Rosé 75


Ingredients

  • 45mls Gin

  • 15ml Lime Juice

  • 15ml Simple Syrup (1:1 ration water & sugar heated until dissolved and cooled)

  • Sparkling Rosé to top it off


Add gin, lemon juice and simple syrup to cocktail shaker.

Shake vigorously and strain into champagne flute


Top up with the Sparkling Rosé and garnish with mint and an optional berry



 

Passionfruit Martini


Ingredients

  • 90mls Passionfruit juice

  • 45mls Gin

  • 10mls lime juice


Put all ingredients into a cocktail shaker


Add ice and shake up


Strain into a martini glass


Garnish with lemon and or lime



 

Gin & Tea


Ingredients

  • 45mls Gin (Try a Dry gin for this one)

  • 30mls cooled breakfast tea (not additionally flavoured tea)

  • 1 TBSP Marmalade

  • Dash of bitters


Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.


Strain into your glass over fresh ice.


Garnish with an orange twist
